Saber (Saudi Certificate of Conformity)
The "SALEEM" program in Saudi Arabia ensures consumer safety by regulating consumer products in the Saudi market. To achieve this goal, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has introduced the "Saber" platform. This platform issues certificates of conformity to consumer products before they enter the Saudi market. Certification bodies notified by SASO verify the compliance of consumer products with relevant SASO regulations.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has introduced an Energy Efficiency Labeling program to establish minimum performance standards for various electric products. This label serves as a means to compare product performance in the market. Every model covered by this program must be registered and licensed on the SASO platform before being imported into Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, each licensed model receives a license certificate and an Energy Efficiency Label from SASO. The Energy Efficiency Label must be affixed to each product prior to export.

To minimize technical trade barriers and enhance the free flow of goods across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) introduced the "G-Mark" as a key initiative. The "G-Mark" signifies those products meet all technical regulations set by the GSO. Products can only display the "G-Mark" after successfully completing conformity assessment procedures.
